How does the UltraClear procedure work?

UltraClear uses a proprietary cold fiber laser system designed for minimal thermal damage. Treatments are performed in-office, typically with a topical numbing cream for comfort.

How long does an UltraClear session take?

Treatment sessions typically last 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the area treated. Smaller areas like the face or neck may take about 20 minutes; larger areas such as the chest or full face + neck may take up to 2 hours.

Is UltraClear laser treatment painful?

Most patients describe the feeling as a mild tingling, prickling, or warmth. Topical numbing is applied beforehand to keep the procedure comfortable. You may experience mild redness, warmth, and slight swelling, similar to a light sunburn. These sensations usually subside within 24–48 hours.

How many UltraClear sessions are needed for optimal results?

Many patients notice improvements after just one session, but a series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart often delivers the most dramatic results. Time between treatment sessions allows for proper healing and optimal collagen stimulation.

Can UltraClear be combined with other treatments?

No — UltraClear should not be combined with other treatments, as patients may experience pinpoint bleeding and inflammation immediately afterward. However, Pure PDGF can be added to enhance healing and deliver the best anti-aging results. Other facial treatments or injectables should be scheduled at least two weeks after your UltraClear session.  

What are the potential side effects of UltraClear?

Temporary redness, mild swelling, and flaking are common but usually mild. Any side effects typically resolve within a few days. More significant side effects are rare when performed by trained professionals. Your provider will review all potential risks during your consultation.

Is there any downtime after UltraClear treatments?

Most patients can return to normal activities within 72 hours, though redness and flaking may last a bit longer. Depending on the aggressiveness of your treatment, some downtime can extend up to a week. Always follow your provider’s recommended post-treatment schedule.

Are there any contraindications for UltraClear?

Yes; UltraClear may not be suitable for pregnant individuals, people with active skin infections, or those who have used Accutane within the past 6–12 months.
